The spacious and modern building of the school heralds welcome to entrants owing to its majestic structure. It is surrounded on all sides by its eye catching lush green gardens overflowing with flowers of different hues which permeate their fragrances all around.

Quality Education is the hallmark of Green Land . Our mission is to help our students imbibe the true sprit of patriotism which shuns all pettiness and create in them a deep urge for National Unity and Progress . We strive to create an atmosphere of ideas in this institution, by making provisions for the growth of mind through many creative activities, by making teaching life inspired and life centered. This is done by celebrating Religious and National festivals in the School premises instead of declaring holidays as is the general trend.

GREEN LAND SENIOR SECONDARY PUBLIC SCHOOL CELEBRATES LOHRI WITH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ON BANNING CHINESE KITE STRINGS

Green Land Senior Secondary Public School celebrated the auspicious festival of Lohri with great enthusiasm and a sense of responsibility towards nature and society. As part of the festivities, a poster-making activity for students of classes IX - XII, focusing on the theme : "Ban Chinese Kite Strings – Protect Life, Embrace Safety!" was organised. The students enthusiastically participated in the activity, showcasing their creativity and raising awareness about the harmful effects of Chinese kite strings . These strings, often coated with glass or metal, pose severe threats to both birds and humans. Through their impactful posters, students highlighted the urgency to ban such strings and advocated for environmentally friendly alternatives. The Lohri celebrations concluded with a bonfire and traditional songs, symbolizing unity, joy and positivity. The primary wing students danced around the bonfire in colourful attires. The Chairman of Chain of Green Land Schools, Dr. Rajesh Rudhra emphasized the students that festivals are a time to celebrate our culture but it is equally important to ensure that our celebrations do not harm others. The use of Chinese kite strings is a serious concern as it endangers the lives of innocent birds and humans. He said that he is proud of his students for taking a stand against this harmful practice. The Principal Mrs Baldeep Pandher expressed her heartfelt wishes for the Lohri festival and encouraged the students to embrace their cultural roots while pursuing academic excellence.
