I am pleased to inform you that as a part of ongoing Silver Jubilee Celebrations , the Management has slashed the tuition fee for classes P. Nsy to 1st Std . From the new session P. Nsy to 1st Std monthly fee will be only Rs. 2000 which includes computers and smart class fee . Also this year there will be no fee hike upto 5th Std. 6th to 12th Std only Rs 150 will be added in the existing fee structure . You may meet the undersigned for admission (classes Pre.Nsy to 9th Std.) 10th October, 2018 onwards .

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS AT GREEN LAND SR. SEC. PUBLIC SCHOOL

The students of Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School , Ludhiana enjoyed Diwali celebrations, today, in a very peaceful and unique way by promoting the idea of ‘No Crackers this Diwali’ . The students were urged not to litter around or pollute the environment. Various competitions were organized in both the junior and senior wings in which the students participated with great vivacity. The students from I-V showcased their festive fervour and ecstasy in Diya decoration, Card Making and Rangoli Making Competitions. The students from I-III decorated their classrooms with hand made crafts. Inter House Rangoli Making Competition was also organized for senior wing. First prize was bagged by Jaspreet & Priya (XII Arts) of Shakti House, second prize was bagged by Kanchan & Simranjeet Kaur ( XII Sci.) of Jyoti House & Yashika & Jasleen ( XII Com.) of Shakti House and the third prize was won by Jaya & Khushi ( XI Com) & Khushi & Jiya (X) of Shakti House. Consolation Prizes were given to Yamini & Muskan ( XII Com) of Jagriti House and Taruna & Alka ( XI Com. ) of Kirti House. The Principal of school, Mrs. Baldeep Pandher appreciated the concern shown by students towards the environment through their aesthetic creations. During the assembly all the students took pledge that they will not burn crackers and enjoy the festival with friends and relatives promoting the theme of ‘Green Diwali’. She extended the hope that only students can change the face of this nation. She also admired the responsible attitude of the students who have shouldered the responsibility of making India clean and green.

VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK OBSERVED AT GREEN LAND

In continuation of the Vigilance Week being observed at Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School, Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana from 29th Oct. to 3rd Nov., 2018 a seminar was organised to sensitize the students regarding the corruption prevalent in the society and the measures to curb it. The keynote speakers were Sh. Rupinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Vigilance, Ludhiana , Dr. Neeru Katyal Gupta (PCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jagraon, and Sh. Jaswinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vigilance, Ludhiana. Dr. Rajesh Rudhra, Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools along with President Mr. Shabad Rudhra and Principal Mrs. Baldeep Pandher welcomed the Chief Guests, Guest of Honour and other dignitaries. The function began by invoking Lord Shiva’s blessings followed by the welcome song. A play was presented by the students highlighting the rampant corruption prevalent in the society. An awareness rally was also taken out by the students in which they carried placards, banners & spread the message “Eradicate Corruption – Build a new India”. They urged the need for loyal leaders, faithful bureaucrats & honest citizens. Students from 6th to 8th also showed their concern by presenting their feelings in the form of posters & slogans. The students of senior classes delivered speeches on the topic – ‘Corruption – A Menace’ , ‘Power doesn’t Corrupt People, People Corrupt Power’. They also recited beautiful poems on the theme of corruption free society. They highlighted various solutions to combat this problem specially the role of the youth. They took integrity pledge to eliminate corruption from the society. An Inter House Painting Competition on this very theme was held and the students of VII to X participated. In Category-A of IX & X Classes First prize was bagged by Jasleen Khera (X Keats) of Jyoti House, second prize was bagged by Jivanjot Kaur (X Keats) of Shakti House, and the third prize was won by Kriti (IX Keats) of Jyoti House and consolation prizes went to Ishita (IX Keats) of Shakti House. In Category-B VII & VIII Classes - First prize was bagged by Mishti ( VIII Milton) of Jyoti House, second prize was bagged by Swarr (VII Keats) of Kirti House, and the third prize was won by Kritik Gautam (VII Chaucer) of Jyoti House and consolation prizes went to Shagun (VIII Milton) of Shakti House. Speaking on the occasion Dr. Rajesh Rudhra said that children of our country are moving abroad due to corruption. He urged that we have to provide corruption free nation to the intelligent youth of our country so that there is no brain drain. He also said that we need to awaken every citizen of the country against this deadly evil. Every citizen of the country is equally responsible to make India clean and free from corruption. He further advised the students to become responsible and loyal citizens before becoming IAS or IPS . Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest Dr. Neeru Katyal Gupta (PCS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jagraon, said that instead of blaming the politicians and bureaucrats we need to do our duties sincerely and honestly. Youth can only build new India. She also said that the launch of e-governess is a good initiative which has brought transparency in the system which will help to eradicate this devil from the society. Sh. Rupinder Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Vigilance, Ludhiana had an interactive session with the students about their problems regarding corruption. He told the students if anyone asks for bribe, they may record and send it to their toll free number. Welcoming and expressing gratitude to the Chief Guests and Guest of Honour , the Principal of the school Mrs. Baldeep Pandher said that we see chaos in political, economic and social system of our country and the only two powerful forces who can uproot this corruption are parents & teachers.
