Origin & History

Green Land is a Premier name known for its excellence and quality education, run under the aegis of Sant Kirpal Vidyak Mission (Regd). The first prestigious Institution Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School saw its inception on 13th April 1992, Near Jalandhar Bye Pass, Ludhiana. The Foundation Stone of this Co-Educational, English Medium Institution affiliated to CBSE was laid by the most noble and honest personality, Sh. Ram Labhaya Rudhra whose dream was to start a school ‘with a difference’. Our beginning was small, but the dream was big and vision broad. The mission continued to grow under the Chairmanship of Sh. Rajesh Rudhra who is also the Director of the school. The escalating reputation and demand led to the establishment of four more Institutions in the city, Green Land Convent School- Dugri, New Subhash Nagar, Jodhewal Basti, Sec.-32, Chandigarh Road and Civil City Haibowal.

Our Institutions were the first to introduce ‘No Home Work’ system where the students don’t need to carry heavy bags. Our commitment to excellence, ban on tuition system which discourages mercenary attitude amongst teachers has made us most sought after.

The Chain of Green Land Schools owes its success to the blessings of Sant Kirpal Singh JI Maharaj, and the Trust which runs these schools is also named after Him. Being an ardent believer and worshipper of Sant Kirpal, the Chairman Cum Director Sh. Rajesh Rudhra named the Trust after this great Guru.

Sh. Rajesh Rudhra started Green Land Sr. Sec. Public School with very limited resources. However, he always had the broad vision and noble ideals of the Founder President Sh. Ram Labhaya. The dedication of Sh. Rajesh Rudhra , his determination and endurance helped us soar high with mighty speed. It will be appropriate to say that Mr. Rajesh Rudhra is an Educationist to the core of his heart. This extraordinary brilliance of running Green Land Schools actually runs in his blood as his paternal grandfather Sh. Mukand Lal Rudhra was an able administrator. He was running a school very successfully before Independence in Sabour near Gujrat now in Pakistan.

The sacrificial nature of all who were and have been associated with Green Land helped touch the zenith as we gained a massive applause not only in Ludhiana city but also all over India. Laying of foundation stone by the founder President Sh. Ram Labhaya Rudhra was in itself a pious beginning. The traditional, ethical and moral values he inculcated in his son Sh. Rajesh Rudhra helped in accomplishment of his dream for academic excellence combined with character moulding, personality development, spiritual education and perseverance of culture and heritage. This has been the mission of Mr. Rudhra, Sh. Ram Labhaya wished to establish a corruption free school where children are not cheated. Sh. Rajesh Rudhra efficiently gave a shape to this long cherished dream by establishing ‘No Home Work’ system where the students don’t have to grope for private tutors. He has given the best infrastructure in his schools. He has always endeavoured to make Green Land a second home for the students where teachers act as parents taking part in the great task of Nation building. More significance is attached to moral values and preservation of culture.
