MARTYDOM DAY OF SAHIBZAADAS OBSERVED AT GREEN LAND SR. SEC. PUBLIC SCHOOL

Green Land Sr.Sec. Public School, Ludhiana commemorated the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas of Guru Gobind Singh Ji who were bricked alive by the then governor of Sirhind Nawab Wazir Khan . The students were enlightened by the teachers on the supreme sacrifices made by the Gurus. The students paid tribute to the sacrifice of Sahibzaadas Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. The students were apprised of the historical day and the Shahedi ‘Jor Mela’ at Fatehgarh Sahib, which is organised every year in December to pay homage to the Martyrdom of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh. The day was marked with great religious devotion. The Chairman of the Chain of Green Land Schools gave the message of observing this day as most sacred because it is because of this sacrifice the people of India mustered the courage to fight against the atrocities of the cruel tyrants. The Principal, Mrs Baldeep Pandher added that such events help in creating awareness about the heroic deeds, unparalleled valour and supreme sacrifices made by the revered sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji who sacrificed their lives for the cause of justice and freedom of religion.
